The holdings of the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen are documented in approx. 20,000 black-and-white photographs as well as a large number of colour photographs in high resolution for reproduction purposes.

Taking photos in the galleries
Photography - exclusively for private purposes - is permitted in the galleries of the Bayerische Staatsgemäldesammlungen (Alte Pinakothek, Neue Pinakothek and Pinakothek der Moderne, Schack Sammlung, Museum Brandhorst and Branch Galleries in Bavaria) without flash or tripod.
