For the 6th European Day of Conservation-Restoration, we invite you into our conservation studio with an exciting story of a small Venetian portrait. The "Portrait of a Young Man" is currently being studied as part of a multi-year research project on Venetian painting of the 15th and 16th centuries and has recently been attributed to Bartolomeo Veneto. Here you can learn about how the scholarly study of the painting led to the rediscovery of a pictorial element that is crucial for its interpretation.
