Questions concerning admission and ticketing
What is the cost of admission?
The individual museums have differing entrance fees. An overview of the entrance fees of all museums can be found through the link provided below.
If you would like to visit all five museums in the course of a single day, you can purchase a combi-ticket for €12. If you plan to visit in a group of five or ten people, we recommend the 5-visit pass for €29, which can be shared between five people or, alternatively, be used by one person to enter one of the museums on five different days. These tickets may not be valid for some special exhibitions.
Who is eligible for free or reduced admission?
Admission is free for children and teens under the age of 18. Students and visitors over the age of 65 pay a reduced entrance fee. We additionally offer various other special concessions.
Does the museum offer group discounts?
We do not offer group discounts. However, larger groups can use the 5-visit pass for €29, which can be split between five people. This ticket is not valid for all special exhibitions.
Is there a combi-ticket for visiting several of the museums?
You can visit all five museums in the course of a single day by purchasing a day pass for €12. The 5-visit pass allows you to visit our museums five different times – even if the visits take place on different days.
Can tickets be purchased in advance or online?
Our tickets may only be purchased directly in one of our museums. It is possible to pay either with cash or by card. You may also obtain day passes for the individual museums in advance. Purchasing our tickets online is unfortunately not possible.
Is it possible to purchase gift vouchers?
We do not offer gift vouchers or online tickets. You are welcome to purchase a 5-visit pass (purchasable directly in the museum) or an annual ticket (purchasable directly in the museum or via www.cedon.de) for use as a gift.
Do you offer annual membership?
Annual tickets, or annual membership passes, are valid in the three Pinakothek museums, the Museum Brandhorst, the Schack Sammlung and the many state galleries outside Munich that belong to the BStGS. Annual membership costs €90 (concession-price €60) and includes entrance to all special exhibitions.
Is there a restaurant or a museum café in one of your museums?
In addition to contemplating the works of art on display, be sure to factor in enough time to take a breather and enjoy a tasty bite to eat. We invite you to enjoy the rich offerings of our restaurants and cafés, some of which are accessible even outside of normal museum opening hours. Or perhaps you are still looking for the perfect gift in one of our museum shops?
