This branch gallery is located in the north wing of the former royal residence of the prince bishop. Venetian paintings from the 16 th to the 18 th centuries are on exhibit. The highlight of the ensemble are the two early vedute of Venice by Joseph Heintz the Younger and a series of portraits from the studio of Veronese that portray sultans of the Ottoman Empire. Additionally, there are works by artists who were strongly influenced by Venetian painting of the era.
