Picture material and reproduction rights
For picture material and reproduction rights for commercial use such as catalogue and book production as well as advertisement please refer to our photoarchive. All digital picture material can also be found in the online database of our partner the bpk – Bildportal der Kunstmuseen.
Photography and filming for editorial and commercial use
In general, photography and filming in the Pinakothek galleries and in other galleries of the Bavarian State Picture Collections is permissible. To avoid disturbing visitors to the galleries and to protect the exhibits, technical equipment is to be kept to a minimum. In addition, applications for film and photographic work are to be made and approval given in advance. In the case of commercial photography and filming and not on-the-day editorial work you are kindly asked to allow sufficient time in advance to ensure the problem-free organization of your visit, since such sessions are accompanied by members of the press department and security staff.

Since photographic and film work require additional staff and cause considerable extra costs, fees are levied for commercial undertakings as well as for editorial work which is not on-the-day reporting.
