PINK
is the name of a new support program for individuals and groups who, owing to physical and social challenges, have as yet not been able to readily access the mu-seum´s offerings. With PINK the Pinakothek der Moderne offers in close cooperation with social institutions, support programs which have been specially developed to the needs of senior citizens, the blind and sight-impaired, disadvantaged young people as well as for women`s refuge groups and those groups from other aid facilities.

Through a combination of specialized knowledge, creative methods and sensitivity, PINK supports these special groups to discover their own way to understanding mu-seum works. The goal of the PINK initiative is to open a window to art and culture through dialogue and comprehension - to make the myriad approaches to the works experiential. The Pinakothek der Moderne with its four museums under one roof - art, works on paper, architecture and design - offers an ideal forum for this.

Programs
In close cooperation with social institutions, the offerings have been specially developed to the needs to the needs of the target groups. A precondition for this are adequate external basic conditions: for example, shorter routes and seating in situations where physical mobility is limited. For the blind and sight-impaired museum orientation is posted in relief printing; palpable objects are also being made available. The program for young people includes the use of practicable exercises and concrete problem-solving.
