In remembrance of Albert Renger-Patzsch ¿ as his travelling companion for trees and rock

»Albert Renger-Patzsch chose me as expert companion for his car journeys through several European countries which he made in order to take photographs of magnificent trees and remarkable rock formations. I came to know him as a formative person who unified versatile education and experience, an aesthetic-artistical feeling, photographic obsession and principled loyalty - even in the enjoyment of life - in himself and he proclaimed that everyday. With the description of my unforgettable travel experiences I would like to honour him thankfully and I want to report how each of his impressive photographic artworks came into being.«
Wolfgang Haber works as an ecologist and is considered to be one of the »founders of landscape ecology« in Germany.
